Announcements and Messages for the Community
Welcome Rev. Cartwright! Pastor Shuji is on vacation this week. Rev. Scott Cartwright, an ordained minister with the Presbyterian Church (USA) will be leading Sunday worship. He has worked as a healthcare Chaplain since 1991, in Senior Care, acute care hospitals, and in Children’s Hospitals and currently serves as the Senior Consultant for Spiritual Care in the Benedictine Long Term Care system. Scott and his wife Kathy are the parents of three wonderful adult children and live in Apple Valley, MN.
Sponsor a Poinsettia. We will supporting Southern Valley Alliance’s by participating in their Poinsettia fundraiser again. If you’re interested in sponsoring a poinsettia in honor or in memory of a loved one, to be displayed in our sanctuary throughout the Advent season, a sign-up is in the Narthex. The cost is $25/plant. Money and orders must be to Michelle Bachmann by October 27th.
Kids N Cookies. All are welcome for our all-ages faith program. It includes scripture readings, fun activities, and of course cookies! We will meet in the sanctuary for about 15 to 20 minutes and then gather in Fellowship Hall for cookies. For more ways to get involved, contact Bill or Mary Hudson.
Special Meeting Notice: A special meeting is being called by the Consistory Team to discuss church leadership and board openings. To be held Sunday, Nov. 14th at 10am in the Sanctuary following worship.
