Feed My Starving Children

St. John’s UCC supports Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) in two ways.  We donate our offering collected at our Christmas Eve Candlelight worship service to them and we coordinate and participate in all-ages food packing events.

This Spring, we were able to volunteer again at the Chanhassen, MN facility.  On May 21st, a group from SJUCC was part of a morning packing crew of 73 volunteers who packed 96 cases of food.  (Sorry, we didn’t get the obligatory group photo of everyone in their hairnets.  Next Time!)

FMSC is a Christian non-profit organization committed to feeding God’s children hungry in body and spirit.  Volunteers hand-pack meals specially formulated for malnourished children, and the meals are sent to their partners around the world where they’re used to operate orphanages, schools, clinics and feeding programs to break the cycle of poverty.  FMSC food has reached more than 70 countries since 1987.
