PRESS RELEASE from COLOGNE ACADEMY:
On Thursday, December 16, 2021, Cologne Academy will host a COVID-19 vaccine clinic at the Cologne Community Center from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. This is open to the public, so please spread the word!
The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) and Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) provide all schools with these COVID-19 testing resources. As outlined in Best Practice Recommendations for COVID-19 Prevention in Schools for the 2021-22 School Year (PDF), testing, vaccination, and other prevention strategies should be used to help keep students and educators healthy this school year.
Testing is one important strategy to slow the spread of COVID-19. Vaccines continue to be the most important tool we have against the virus. Our youngest students can now get vaccinated. Many have been discouraged as there are very limited available appointments for vaccination. If you are interested, we hope this clinic provides convenience to your family. All individuals ages 5+ are welcome for their initial shot (Pfizer). The team will return in 3 weeks to administer the 2nd dose. For those age 18+ who received a shot 6 months or more ago, you can receive a booster (Moderna or Pfizer).
There are no appointments necessary, however, we would appreciate it if you could please indicate how many in your family will plan to attend by filling out THIS FORM. If your student is between ages 5-11, you must attend the clinic with them. If your student is age 12+ and you wish for them to receive the vaccination, please be sure to send the completed consent form with them to school.
Please reach out to communications@cologneacademy.org with any questions. We are excited to bring this no-cost, convenient clinic to our families. We look forward to working together to keep our scholars in school. Thank you!
