Carver County Public Health launched the Communities of Belonging (COB) initiative in late 2021, after belonging and well-being were identified as needs in the Community Health Improvement Plan. The initiative’s goal is to create a community where people are truly connected and know each other, care about each other, and take care of each other – even if everyone does not agree on very many issues.
The COB initiative offers regular Living Room Conversations as a way to connect people through guided conversations to build understanding and transform communities. June’s Living Room Conversations addresses the topic of Talking to Strangers. Four sessions will be offered and individuals can join any session (all sessions are the same) virtually. Feel free to share this information with others who may want to join the conversation.
