Announcements and Messages for the Community
Fruit of the Spirit. We are kicking off a new monthly ministry program. Each month, we will highlight a cause, service project, or mission that St. John’s has chosen to support. This month, our local public schools are featured with collections to be donated to Cologne Academy’s Compassion Fund and Central’s Raider Room.
Shoe Away Hunger. The Shoe Bus Sale will be at the market on August 17th! New and like-new shoes will be available for purchase. Adult shoes $5/pair. Children’s shoes $2/pair. You can drop off new and gently used shoes the day of the sale or with Pastor Scott beforehand.
Bongards Market Helpers Needed. A variety of opportunities for all abilities are available. This is our 10th season – Be part of the fun! Wednesdays, June to September. You pick dates/times that fit your schedule. Contact Vicki Moteelall at 612-710-0508.
St. John’s Got Talent. Calling all singers, musicians, dancers, and orators! We want your special talents for our Sunday Worship on August 14th. Contact Pastor Scott if you’d like to participate in this fun worship service.
Find Food Carver County. Volunteers are needed to pack produce, sort food items, and distribute food into vehicles in NYA. There are tasks for people of all ages and abilities. Join SJUCC members on Friday, August 5, 12pm to 4pm. If interested, contact Michelle Bachmann at 952-361-3033.
Consistory Team Meeting and Members. There is one opening on our Consistory Team. Please pray-fully consider serving. Everyone is welcome to attend Team meetings. Input and engagement from the Congregation is encouraged. Contact Michelle Bachmann at 952-361-3033 or Pastor Scott.
Live Streaming Technician: We want to train others on setting up the equipment and monitoring live-streaming services. If you are familiar with Facebook and how to post content, this is all the technical skills needed. Contact Michelle Bachmann if you’re interested.
Share. Grow. Shine! Make sure you write ways you’ve shared your faith or grown your faith this week on a card and place it in the offering plate to be collected and celebrated. Fill our collective lantern and shine St. John’s light!
