“Soup for the Soul” is Back for the Fall starting September 5th

Good morning all,

I am excited that we will be getting back together! We will be studying the Gospel of John starting on Thursday, September 5th, at 6:00 pm either at the church or on Zoom. I love this group and can’t wait for all of our wonderful discussions.

I have ordered a few of the guides from Kerygma. You can read more about them at https://kerygma.com/collections/nt/products/john . They are not required, but if you do want one then let me know. I encourage everyone to read John to familiar yourself with it. I do want to note that this is an adult study. You will get out of it what you put into it. You will get a huge amount just by coming to the sessions and entering into the discussions. It is completely up to you. You, and your ideas and insights, are always welcome here.

As we get started, Our Questions of the Week is: “Has the Gospel of John informed or guided your faith? If so, what scripture or themes really have affected you? What are you looking forward to learning more about throughout our study?”

You don’t have to wait until next Thursday if you want to begin this discussion. There are so many passages that come to mind right away for me including John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. and the theme brought forward by the “I AM” statements such as “I AM the bread of life” and “I AM the way, the truth, and the life.”
