It looks like beautiful weather this week. I hope everyone is able to enjoy it.
We will be completing Part 3, Come and See, in our guide this week. Our reading goes from the heading “The Wedding at Cana” to the end of the section (Pp 22-25). The reading is attached if you don’t have your own copy of the Guide.
Our Basic Bible References for the week are:
- John 2:1-24 (The Wedding at Cana and Jesus Cleanses the Temple)
- John 20:30-31 (The Purpose of This Book)
We now are firmly into some of the most revered stories of Jesus’ earthly life. The Wedding at Cana shows us the first “sign” or “miracle” in the Gospel of John. These signs are meant to lead people to believe in Jesus as the Messiah and to have life in his name.
Our Questions of the Week are: “How does the “sign” of Jesus turning water into wine reveal who Jesus is and what he came to accomplish? Does this story shape your understanding of how Jesus responds to needs in our lives?”
