Fall Christian Formation Opportunities. “Soup for the Soul” Adult Bible Study on the Gospel of John here at the church and also on Zoom hosted by Pastor Scott. All are welcome and will be affirmed. “Growing in God’s Love” for kids from 4-12 during worship service hosted by Cindy Henschen and Chris Wing. Reach out to Pastor Scott if you have any questions.
“Fruit of the Spirit” Our offering this month goes to help and support Veterans in our community who have helped keep us safe and secure. This year our donations will go to “Beyond the Yellow Ribbon” of NYA. They provide support for our Service Members and their families during deployment and reintegration as well as veterans organizations.
“Project Christmas” Sponsored by Women’s Guild and Faith and Service: Central Schools have a number of children who we can help for Christmas. We will be purchasing items as clothing, outerwear, school supplies and, of course, toys! Families pick up items the week before Christmas and Central provides wrapping paper so they can have the joy of wrapping them at home. All family information is kept private. We need folks interested in shopping for gifts. St. John’s is signed up to help 10 kids, with a tag for each child which provides what they would need and like.
Join a Team. If you feel called to use your talents, join a team! Consistory, which will be in need of three new members in 2025, Faith and Service, Worship and Gather, and Women’s Guild. Please contact Michelle Bachmann or Pastor Scott if you have any questions.
