Soup for the Soul – December 19, 2024 – ZOOM ONLY

Hello All, 

 

It looks like the snow is coming pretty hard tomorrow. Probably best not to have people out and about. I have decided to go on Zoom only tomorrow. I don’t want to not have our study to not be available to all those who attend in person only. So, our discussion will focus on something we are all familiar with but may not have looked at in more depth. Our Basic Bible Reference will be: 

 

Luke 2:1-20 (The Birth of Jesus and The Shepherds and the Angels) 

 

This scripture presents themes of God’s sovereign plan, humility, divine revelation, joy, peace, faith, and the mission of Christ, and worship. It provides a foundation for understanding the significance of Jesus’ birth in the context of God’s salvation and humanity. 

 

This will be a great opportunity to discuss the event that is both all around us and nowhere to be found in the coming days. As always, I hope that our discussion brings the Gospel into our hearts today. Our Question(s) of the Week are: How does the message of Christ’s birth speak to our world today, especially in a culture that may focus more on materialism during the holiday season? What aspects of the birth story resonate most with you personally, and how can these truths be applied to your life this week and going forward?
