Soup for the Soul – January 23, 2025

 

I hope everyone has been able to stay safe and warm. It looks like by Thursday we should get a little relief. We will be picking up where we left off last week when we had a really good discussion, particularly on the Women Caught in Adultery. Jesus continues to teach and guide us. Or in the UCC venacular, God is Still Speaking. 

 

This week we will continue on in Part 6, Come to the Water, in our guide. Please read from The Light of the World! to the end of Part 6 (pp 52-55). Our Basic Bible Reference for this week is:

Jesus said to the disciples, “If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” Our Questions of the Week are: “How does the truth make you free? What does this kind of freedom look like? Can you think of a time when knowing and living out God’s truth brought freedom in your life? How did that experience shape your faith?”
