Good morning all,
I hope everyone is staying warm! It makes you grateful if you have good shelter that is for sure. I pray for all those who do not.
We were off last week while the Sunday School learned more about the Beatitudes in Matthew (5:1-12). We could have a serious discussion on each one of the blessings. I have included them in our reading but plan on our focus to be on Jesus’ teachings directly following the Beatitudes. Paired with Matthew this week we have a short reading from the prophet Micah.
Our scripture readings this week are:
Micah 6:1-8 (God Challenges Israel and beginning of What God Requires)
Matthew 5:1-17 (The Beatitudes, Salt and Light and beginning of The Law and the Prophets)
Our Question of the Week is: How is God inviting you, right now, to live as salt and light by doing justice, loving kindness, and walking humbly with God in your everyday life?
