Good morning soup chefs,
We are moving on to our second week where our study is based on the Lord’s Prayer. Last week we studied the Lord’s Prayer as written in Matthew which is the most common and matches up with what we pray every week in worship. We focused a lot was on focusing on the present and forgiveness.
This week we are moving to Luke’s version which is shorter but is followed by a teaching from Jesus on the importance of perseverance in prayer. Our Basic Bible references for this week are:
Luke 11:1-13 (the Lord’s Prayer and Perseverance in Prayer)
Psalm 34 (Praise for Deliverance from Trouble)
In Luke 11, Jesus encourages bold, persistent prayer; asking, searching, knocking. While Psalm 34 reminds us that God hears the cries of the faithful, even when troubles remain. Our Question of the Week is: Where in your life are you being invited to keep praying not because the answer is quick or clear, but because staying in relationship with God is itself an act of trust?
Please continue to stay safe and warm and feel free to share your thoughts and insights on this thread.
