We continue our journey through the Gospel of John on Thursday. We ended up running a little behind the church calendar and will be stepping back into Holy Week readings this week.

Please read Chapter 13, “The Death of the Messiah,” (Pp 114-121 attached) from our guide. Our Basic Bible Reference is: John 19:16b-42 (The Crucifixion of Jesus; Jesus Side is Pierced; and the Burial of Jesus)

As we look back to the crucifixion in light of Sunday’s celebration of the Resurrection. Our Question of the Week is: What does it look like for you to live with resurrection hope while still standing at the foot of the cross?
