St. John’s UCC supports Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) in two ways. We donate our April’s Fruit of the Spirit donations to them, and we coordinate and participate in all-ages food packing events.
This Spring, we were able to volunteer again at the Chanhassen, MN facility. On April 15th, a group from SJUCC was part of a morning packing crew who packed 119 cases of food. Our Fruit of the Spirit offering for April also donated $520. Thank you so much!
FMSC is a Christian non-profit organization committed to feeding God’s children hungry in body and spirit. Volunteers hand-pack meals specially formulated for malnourished children, and the meals are sent to their partners around the world where they’re used to operate orphanages, schools, clinics and feeding programs to break the cycle of poverty. FMSC food has reached more than 70 countries since 1987.
