Dear St. John’s Family and Friends,
This coming Sunday will be a joyful and meaningful day in the life of our church as we install our church officers during worship. I hope you will join us as we give thanks for those who have said yes to serving, leading, and caring for this congregation.
The willingness of these individuals to step forward is a gift to all of us. Their service reminds us that the church is strongest when many people share their time, talents, wisdom, and compassion. No one person carries the work of the church of Jesus Christ alone. We are a community of faith, and each person’s gifts help us grow in ministry and mission.
Leadership in the church is not about status or recognition, but about service. It is about listening to God’s call, working together with humility, and helping the body of Christ live out its mission in the world. Our officers will help guide decisions, support ministries, care for the needs of the congregation, and encourage the shared work God has placed before us.
As we bless these leaders on Sunday, it is also a chance for each of us to reflect on our own calling. Every member and friend of St. John’s has a role in the life of the church. Whether through prayer, encouragement, volunteering, hospitality, generosity, outreach, administration, stewardship, or simply showing up and supporting one another, we all participate in God’s work together.
Please keep our incoming officers in your prayers. Pray that God will guide them with wisdom, strengthen them with grace, and fill them with joy in their service. Pray also for our whole congregation, that we may continue to grow in faith, hope, love, and unity.
I look forward to worshiping with you this Sunday as we celebrate God’s faithfulness and the gift of shared ministry.
Grace and peace,
Pastor Scott Siefert
