Moving to ChurchTrac: What You Need to Know

We are excited to transition to ChurchTrac to better serve our church community! This change will streamline our online giving, donation management, and financial accounting. 

Why are we switching?

While our current system works, ChurchTrac significantly reduces manual administrative tasks, making our financial processes more efficient and accurate. 

Will you still accept cash or check donations?

Yes. You can always give in person or by mail via cash or check. 

What happens to my EasyTithe donations?

Current donations for 2026 will be processed via EasyTithe through April 30th. Your recurring gift will not move automatically. We will disable all recurring gifts in EasyTithe. Please use our new link or QR Code to set up your recurring giving in ChurchTrac.

What if I don’t want to set up a recurring gift?

Just like EasyTithe, ChurchTrac supports one-time gifts. However, recurring gifts greatly assist with our monthly budgeting and planning. If you are able to give on a recurring basis, we encourage you to consider this option. With the new processor, it will take longer for reconciliations. Please set-up recurring giving to occur between the 1st and 25th of the month to make sure we receive it in time.

What payment types does ChurchTrac accept?

We accept ACH (bank transfer), Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Each payment type has a processing fee, with ACH being the lowest fee ($0.25). Credit cards are $0.30 plus 2.2%. St. John’s is responsible for any fees. However, you may choose to cover these fees during your transaction. If you do, the fee amount is considered part of your tax-deductible gift. 

Is my information safe?

Yes. ChurchTrac uses bank-level security and encryption. Your private banking and card details are never stored by the church; they are handled entirely by Stripe, a secure global payment processor. 

How do I get my tax statements?

Once you create your online giving account, you can view or print your official giving statements any time you want.

We’ve partnered with ChurchTrac and Stripe so you can use your bank account for a direct ACH, debit card, or a credit card to make a secure one time or reoccurring gift. General giving and Fruit of the Spirit can both be done electronically.
