I hope everyone here in Minnesota enjoyed the summer day we had yesterday.
We are resuming our study on John tonight. Attached are the list of potential questions along with a short reading on Mary Magdalene and the reading from our guide. Please read from the beginning of the Section “I Am the Resurrection and the Life” to the heading “I Have Seen the Lord!” (Pp 122-125). Our Basis Bible reference is:
John 20:1-18 (The Resurrection of Jesus and Jesus Appears to Mary Magdalene)
Our Question(s) of the Week is: In John 20:16, Mary recognizes the risen Jesus when he calls her by name. Where in your life right now might Christ be speaking to you personally. What would it mean for you to truly recognize and respond to his voice?
It is my desire for us to finish John before we break for the summer. We should do that in two more sessions after this week. Please begin to think about what we would like to study when we pick back up in the fall.
