Shoe Away Hunger

How It Works

ShoeAwayHunger

It’s easy. Simply bring your new or like new footwear including sneakers, sports shoes, casual shoes, boots, flip flops, ice skates, etc. and drop them off at St. John’s UCC.

Encourage your friends, relatives and neighbors to do the same. Tie or band them together or place them in a plastic bag to keep them paired.

It keep shoes out of landfills and supports hunger relief efforts. For every 1 pair of new or like-new footwear received, the Shoe Away Hunger program is able to feed one more person with up to 7 days of essential groceries through their Feeding The Future programs.

Clean Out Your Closet For A Cause

The shoe drive runs now until the shoe bus sale on July 24, 2024. Shoes can be dropped off on Sunday mornings between 9am and 10am:

St. John’s UCC, 12984 Co Rd. 51, NYA

We do not have an outdoor drop spot. Please do not leave shoes outside on other days of the week. You can also drop off new and like-new shoes on market days leading up to, and on the day of the sale at the market on July 24th, or at any of these 9 Schuler Shoe Store locations: https://www.schulershoes.com/stores

NOTE:  If you are planning to drop off more than 50 pair of shoes or footwear items, please donate them directly at the Shoe Away Hunger warehouse at 8063 Ranchers Road NE Fridley, MN 55432 or to arrange a pick up: 612-440-7463 (SHOE).
